Duration
4 months;
August 2022 — November 2022
The Challenge
As a result of the mobile version being coded directly from the desktop version, the mobile experience was disjointed and at times prevented the user from completing tasks.

Adding New Users
Potential customers were twice as likely to use mobile devices to discover Zello. Meanwhile, the same amount of mobile and desktop completed trial creation.
The Data
Areas I Focused On
Improved Visual Hierarchy
Added icons and spacing for visual separation
Refined typography size, weight, and color across site
Modified Existing UI
UI on mobile and desktop was small and inconsistent (buttons, forms fields, etc.)
Optimized User Flow
Made it immediately obvious for a variety of users to complete tasks
Results
Improved visual hierarchy = Users stayed on the site longer since they weren’t as overwhelmed
Optimized user flows = increase in upgraded accounts and payments received
